Congratulations
to the wonderful team at the West Hollywood store! We are pleased to report that
the launch of our line of vegan and vegetarian products at Whole Foods Market
was a great success!
What a
refreshing place! We can hardly believe that this oasis of peace exists right in
the middle of busy Los Angeles. Add Kevin Lahue, Associate Prepared Foods
Coordinator, Whole Foods Market, Southwest Region, and Alana Hidalgo, Team
Leader, Prepared Foods, West Hollywood Store, and you have all you need for a
warm, inviting, and joyful welcome into the wonderful Whole Foods Kitchen.
Kevin smiled brightly and led us to the hot food bar, where we were greeted by a beautiful sign that read, “Homestyle Vegan Indian Cuisine.” Didn’t the Whole Foods marketing team do an amazing job?! WOW! They really captured the essence of the old country with their drawings of nostalgic Indian themes on vintage postage stamps. Really creative work!
While we were “oooh-ing and aaah-ing” over the beautiful presentation, a couple of team members, including Alana, who was brimming with uncontainable joy, came over and filled up the hot food bar with a scrumptious array of freshly prepared Indian entrees. Everything looked amazing! We couldn’t wait to sample the new entrees that the team had been perfecting in recent days!

All we can say is, “Whole Foods hit a home run!” We had an instant phenomenon on our hands. We weren’t the only ones responding with excitement, either! Customers were filling their plates to the brim with the new dishes, and we may even have some potential vegans on our hands! One enthusiastic customer said, “That’s not beef? You totally punked me! This is really good.”
Our
special guests that night, Mr. Meaner and Ms. Anthrope of QuarryGirl, have
written up some more impressions about the new entrees on their blog. Everyone
is really encouraged about the response, and we are all looking forward to what
is to come! We all went home with happy tummies! Many
