I just can't get enough of the Chana Dal! I'm not a vegetarian or a vegan, but I AM a huge fan of Basu's Chana Dal sauce. When Basu sent his food in large quantities to our office for us to eat at lunch, I would claim all the Chana Dal as my own! I would eat it on its own or with a Paratha wrap. Most of the time, I would combine two tablespoons with a can of Trader Joe's Organic Lentil Vegetable Soup, heat, and serve. It was amazing what Basu's flavor did to that soup.
My enjoyment grew even more when the prepared foods geniuses at Whole Foods Market in West Hollywood put together the Chana Dal PIZZA!! I was in heaven! Oh Yes, HEAVEN! (as you can see in the picture above)
I'm proud to be part of the Basu's HomeStyle team, and even more proud to have been at Whole Foods for the initial tasting. Seeing the food "fly" off the prepared food bar and onto the customers' plates was amazing! Even the Chana Dal pizza was all gone before you knew it!
We all shared the same excitement: Great Tasting Indian Cuisine! Need I say more?
